Anyway it's a pity this wasn't his breakout solo big hit instead of "Start Again" but what can you do. If only I had a person I was that close with *sighs*. Also the general feel to the lyrics grabs me, that feeling of having that someone special who makes you really happy and how appreciative you are of that person being there.
I thought the chorus was slotted in really awkwardly at first though and while it became less of a problem with familiarity it's still kind of an issue. When im living life theres nothing left to lose When i turn my back on everything i do When i set upon the silence in a room oh oh, Remind me Remind Me Remind Me Remind Me, of yo-u So i think about love, and youre right beside me i think about us, i know that youll always find me My. The verses are pretty brilliant I feel, executed well and the only way they could be made better is with a stronger vocal performance. I think about all the little things that still Remind Me. Also because that type of thing appeals to me a lot. His voice is clearly not his strong point so I'm glad they decided to add in the funky production and strings to help make it less noticeable.
I'll continue to defend it against those that hate it but in all honesty it's not that level of quality.īut. I latched onto this pretty easily at first and it only got better for me.
